Hello to all
I am looking for info on a Anders Hansen Ihle not sure where the name Ihle came from. Anders was born Norway 1833 and married Marthe Peders. They had 2 children Hans 1867 and Jorgine Dina born 1869 in Nord Odal Hedmark. They emigrated to New Zealand between 1869-71 as their next child was born 1871 in NZ. Their surname in New Zealand was Hansen which with your naming patterns the children should have been Anderson/dtr

Any info will be great

Shirley

Hi

Anders and Marthe was married in Ullensaker in Akershus county Mar 4, 1866. No 9:
http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=5854&idx_id=5854&uid=ny&idx_side=-313
He came from the farm Ihler in Odalen

Hans was born Mar 15, 1866 and baptized June 17 1866 also in Ullensaker. No 104:
http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=5854&idx_id=5854&uid=ny&idx_side=-52

Here you have Anders and Marthe in the 1865 census:
http://digitalarkivet.no/cgi-win/WebCens.exe?slag=visbase&sidenr=2&filnamn=f60235&gardpostnr=803&personpostnr=4952&merk=4952#ovre
I guess TR is short for Trolovet and means engaged to be married to.

Hello all
Can someone please confirm the departure date from Norway of Anders Hansen Ihle b.1833,his wife Marthe nee Peders b.1848, and their two children Hans b.1866 and Jeorgina b.1869,who emigrated to New Zealand sometime between 1869 and 1871 when their third child Maria was born in New Zealand. The name of the ship or ships they travelled on and any other details you can provide would be very much appreciated.
My connection here is through Anders and Marthe's fifth child Inga b.1878 at Palmerston North ,New Zealand who married Henry Edwin Mouldey whose yongest child Harry is my former wife's daughter Diane.
Any information or details you can provide would be very much appreciated.

Hi - Click on the link in the quote above to see a record of emigration for the family departing Oslo 06 October 1870.

Anders Hansen Thel, male, gift/married, occupation Tømmermand, age 33, residence S. Odalen, destination Wellington, New Zel.
Marte Pedersdatter age 22
Hans age 4
Dina age 1

You can research the ship name by checking the departures databases on this website. Typically emigrants departed Norway and traveled to England, disembarking at Hull, then traveling to Liverpool or other port by train, and departing from there.

Hope this helps.
