Hi
I want to find the parents of Anton Bredesen born 9/4/1848 in Christiania Akershus Norway. We are having a family reunion on July 10th and I am trying to find as much information as I can. I know Anton's named was changed to Bradeson in the U.S. and I know who he married and his children. I am just trying to trace his roots.

Thank you all for your help.

Ellen

Anton Bredesen, the foster son at Sandvigen in Asker, Akershus in the 1865 census, was born in Lier at the farm mellem Egge on May 14 1847 and baptized Anton Edvard at the Frogner church on Nov 14, see #153.
His parents were Johan Brede Selboe and Kirstine Jensdatter.

In Lier bygdebok we find that Brede Selbo was the owner of Bruk I of Mellom-Egge from 1842 to 1851.

Brede Chrestensen and Kirstine Jensdatter had a son Ellef Oct 10 1845, see #5.
