I am looking for information about the father of Thomas Charles Johnson of Tasmania. It is believed his surname was Johansen (spelling?) and was changed when he arrived in Australia. There were two brothers who jumped ship in Australia. One ended up on the mainland the other in Tasmania. Any information would be greatly appreciated

My grandmother told me that Thomas' mother's name was Mary Price. Where did you find the information from your last posting?

Hi,
the marriage record was found in the database Australia Marriages, 1810-1980.

Price would be Mary Johnson's family name then. It doesn't sound very Norwegian. Did she meet and marry Alfred in Australia?
