Hi,
I assume since no information is available about Åne/Ådne/Aane/Aadne Olsen Bøen´s parents he is not mentioned in the Bygdeboks.
Within 5 years if I remember right the intention is to get all probateregisters online.
Hopefully he will be mentioned there.
To my knowledge we can assume that Åne Olsenbelonged to the same class as his wife, her ancestors from the 1350s where the kings men from the less nobility.

John Johnsen, Aasens wife Ragnhild Torstensdatter was born Oct 7 1853, see #83 - he parents were Torsten Johnsen and Margit Hansdatter, Baghul under Østre Haave.
Ragnhilds mother (widow and Halvorsdatter - should have been Hansdatter) and siblings in 1865.
Marriage record for Torsten Johnsen and Margit Hansdatter is #3.

WOW. This is great all these entries! Thanks everyone... I find it interesting that no matter what family I'm researching there is always a Hem in the branches somewhere. Ha.
Marlys, I have quoted above because I have info stating that Torbjørn Olsen was a Nisi not a Bøen.
I just want to confirm that this is the same man? I assume, because the family is wealthy, that he could have possessed both farms. |

Sorry, I'm a little confused. Torbjørn was Tarald's grandson or are you saying that Tarald has a son by that name too? And I'm guessing that he died in 1687. |

I was confused by the earlier emigration date. I have papers showing that most of John and Ragnild Aasen chiildren were born in Norway. This makes more sense.

...a little tid bit. Raghnild Aasen died tragically on 22 Nov 1935 when she was adding wood to her heat stove in her bedroom. She started on fire and later died of shock. Sad story. I have the paper clipping telling of her tragic death.  |

Tarald Hem (1575-1671) had a son Torbjørn Taraldsen from his 2. marriage with Gunhild Olsdatter from Tinn, Torbjørn Taraldsen d. before 1672 married Barbra Gudbrandsdatter Gunheim.
From his1. marriage with unknown wife Tarald Olsen Hem had 5 children;
- Torgeir d. before 1672
- Ole ab. 1610-80
- Aslaug lived 1686, married Kittel Anundsen Øvre (Upper) Holtan, married 2. time to Aaste Eilevsen Nedre (Lower) Holtan
- Ingeborg d. 1659, got half of Gjestrud in Heddal from her father, married Sigurd Tollevsev Nord-Hem
- Ragnild d. before 1672, got the other half of Gjestrud, married Vetle Vegheim.
Tarald Hem had a grandson Torbjørn (Torbjørn Olsen), son of Ole Taraldsen 1610-80.
This Torbjørn married Margit Torgrimsdatter Nisi.
