My grandfather , Henrik Johansen, born in Bindal 1879, left Trondheim 3 Sept 1908 on the S/S Tasso (2) to go to Canada and probably left from Liverpool on S/S Corinthian 6 -7 days later. How can I find passenger lists for those two sailings to have this confirmed?

Hi,
Henrik J. Johans. Melgaard arrived Quebec, Canada on Sep 19th, 1908, sailing on the S/S Virginian from the Allan Line Steamship Co. It left Liverpool on Sep. 11th.
He is indexed as Henrik Melgrand (22) from Sweden..., but the manifest clearly reads Melgaard. Odin Eliasen who left Trondheim on the same day is listed on the same page of the Canadian manifest.

The Corinthian arrived in Boston in Jan and March of 1908. There is a total of 108 passengers listed for these two trips on Ancestry.com. However none of the 108 passengers has a name identical or similar to Henrik Johansen.

Thank you so much - that was quick! Great help. Would you know how to trace him further, his destination was Winnipeg.
