Good afternoon! I show an ancestor, Ole Petter Johnson, and family living at 31 Øen Gate in Brevik 1885 Brevik Telemark census and at 294 Øe Roden, also in Brevik in 1865 1865 Brevik census but cannot seem to locate these addresses on a map. My grandmother went to Brevik in 1963 and took a picture of what our family thinks is the house but so far have been unable to confirm it.

I believe the address is not Gate, just an area today called Øya, any map will bring up the Island which today is packed with houses, but no Øygata or similar.
Thank you for your input! I looked at the island and am trying to go street by street to match the view in the background which is of three successive hills but so far no luck. I guess I will just have to get there someday!
