 Sami Links to Sabey family name?		  New Topic  Reply to Topic

I have had some responses to questions about my family name (Sabey) that it may have Sami origins. I am really interested to find out. The other spellings that I have for the Americanized Sabey, some from Norwegian records are Saebye, Saebo, Saeboe.

If anyone has some information linking any of these names to Sami, I would be interested. My Sabey family came to the U.S.A. from Bergen in about 1864.
