Hi. Thanks for letting me join you all. At 78 years of age I have just discovered that my paternal Grandfather, Walter De Lacy was a sailor on the S/S Angelo at the age of 20.

I know that he served as a 2nd Cabin Steward on this vessel in 1901. However I have lost track of him after this date, but I know that he later became the ships purser. I would dearly love to find out if he was still serving on the S/S Angelo in the years following, untill she was (I believe) scrapped in 1906.

I am particularly keen to find his whereabouts in the period 1906 to 1926. If he was still seagoing, which vessels would he be sailing on?

I realise that this must be a tall order and I must be prepared for dissapointment. But having read so many posts I am very hopeful that someone can point me in the right direction. Apologies for any trouble I might have caused. Regards Walt.
