Dusty, My personal experience was to submit digitalarkivet records for my ancestors when available. He has to rely on the submitter for accuracy, It would be impossible to to verify records that have been passed on thruough old bibles, or stories that never got written down.

If errors are found, he will correct them. If you google his name, you should get some biographical data about him.

John Nielsen Magelie (Glømmen) was born Jan 6 1784, see 4th record.

John Nielsens parents, Niels Lassesen, Glømen and Berthe Johnsdatter, Midt Magelie were married June 1 1778, see 4th marriage record.

Thank you for the info. I do have a question for you. According to John's birth record of 1784, his parents appear to be Niels and MARI. This marriage record appears to show Niels and BERTHE. Niels' name is fitting, but the mothers name is different - Mari vs. Berthe. So, do you feel this is the right marriage record? The place also appears to be right. -Dusty

Based on the 1801 census and the baptismal records for the children, I think the name in the marriage record is wrong - should have been Mari (Marie) not Berthe (unless she was baptized with two names - have not seen any evidence for that though).
First child Marit, born 1779, see 2nd record.
Next John 1784, then
Lars, born May 8 1792, see 1st record, they have now moved to Magelie, and then
Gunnild born May 7 1796, see last record.

Thank you so much for your response. I will add that marriage date into my records then and also the children. I really appreciate all the great help you have given me! -Dusty
