Does anyone know if records were kept prior to 1785 in the area covered by the 1785 and forward parish records for Aukra, MogR and what parish they would have been in. I have contacted the American MogR and have gotten no useful help. I have read that there were 7 parishes in Aukra in 1589 but no information about whether records were kept and where they may have been before 1785 if they exist.

I don´t know if it exist.

Perhaps Romsdal Sogelag (Romsdal History assosiation), includes Aukra, can help you.
