Dorthea was born October 1847 in Norway probably in the Kristiana/Oslo area to Peder Olsen and mother unknown. She married Olie Carlsen October 31 1870 in Norway. Dorthea died March 14 1904 in Barron County,WI.

Olie was born May 1847 in Norway. His father was Carl Andersen...mother Unknown. He died sometime after 1920 presumable in WI.

According to the 1900 census they had 13 children. 4 of them were:
Klara Elise Carlsen born October 15 1871 in Domkirken,Oslo,Akersus,Norway

Carrie born 1886/87 in Michigan

Pedra/Petra born 1888/89 in Calumet,MI

My great grandfather Joseph Herman Carlsen born 1892 in Ingham County,MI

Any info on this family such as what happened to Klara and Carrie and the other children would be appreciated. Petra married Christian Stelzner and is burried in Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake,WI and Joseph married Adelaide Stoik and is burried in St. Joseph Cemetery in Waukesha,WI

Klara Elise was born June 29 1871 and baptized Oct 15 1871, see #198.

Ole Carlsen (Sausage maker) and the family in 1875.

Ole Karlsen, butcher, emigrated in 1882, see #52871.
Dorthea and her children emigrated 1883, see #76365 - 76370.

The children were Klara Elise (1871), Karl, (1872) Oscar (1876), Johanne (1880) and Asta (1882).

What does "tj" mean for family status and "ug" mean for maritial?

The son Carl was born Nov 4 1872 and baptized Carl Peter Christian Dec 15 1872, see #265.
Oscar Johan was born Aug 8 1874, see #269 - died before 1876.
The son Oscar was born Aug 22 1876 and baptized Oscar Johan Edvind Sept 10 1876, see #229.
The daughter Johanne was born May 22 1878 and baptized Dorthea Johanne July 14 1878, see #134.
Asta Otilie was born April 13 1880, see #82 - died before 1882.
The daughter Asta was born Sept 20 1882 and baptized Asta Otilie Nov 19 1882, see #136.

Ole Karlsens parents, Carl Andersen and Karen Pedersdatter were married June 1 1846, see #10.
Carl Andersen was 30 years (born approx 1816) and his father was Anders Johnsen.
Karen Pedersdatter was 24 years (born approx 1822) and her father was Peder Halvorsen.

Dorthea Johanne Petterdatters parents, Petter Christian Olsen and Elise Hendriksdatter, were married Sept 30 1848, see #16.
Petter Christian Olsen was 25 years (born approx 1823) and his father was Ole Pedersen.
Elise Hendriksdatter was 23 years (born approx 1825) and her father was Hendrik Gundersen.

My great-grand mother Elise Carlsen Boury is also buried in Nora Cemetery (as is Petra) with her husband Thomas Boury. Her grave is spelled Alisa Boury. I know her parents were Ole and Dorthea Carlsen and she was born in 1871.
