Hey Guy, No need to look up something, I already have it. Just need a look at #149 & 150. Just want a check on whether these were twins.
Øllegård & Brita
My information shows they were born the same year but also passed away the same year. No info on death record.....yet.

Hi,
Usually the word "tvillinger" or an abreviation of same are applied to twins. But these 2 were born on the same day to the same parents and are bracketed and so are recorded as twins in that fashion. They were also baptized at home on the 29 Sept .

Hi,
Just because a "family tree" shows them dying in 1831 doesn't mean you shouldn't look at other years...Try 1832...

Oh, ok, got it. Thanks Jackie and Eibache. One weird thing is that the father is listed as Persdatter which means the fathers name is Pers but here it is listed as Pedersdatter. Not questioning your results as I know they are right. My question is in the fathers name. I have listed Pers Olsson. Here, it would be as Peders Olsson. Also listed on the birth recordss as Peders Olson. Can some give the right one so I may enter it into the family Tree? Also, does it show what Brita died from? Also the name of the farm, is it still Melheim at the time of the deaths? Cant read the writting.

The name of the father was Peder Olsen (and the mother Martha Olsdatter), they were living on Melem (written Mælem at Øllegaards death).
No cause of death given for Brita.

When the name is Pedersdatter this means Peder's daughter - father was Peder (not Peders). In case the fathers name ended on an s, like Anders, it would be correct to write Anderssen for a son, but just Andersdatter for a daughter.

Hi,
Persdatter and Pedersdatter are considered to be the same in most places in Norway historically. Languages develop and change through time.
