Hi,

Andrew Egland (not Egeland) was a resident of Clinton Twp, Dekalb County, Illinois in 1900. He and Anna had been married 6 years but she has had 0 children born.

Andrew & Anna Egland were in Iowa by 1910 and have been listed as married 16 years and 0 children born.

In the 1920 census, they have 2 boarders in the house, no children.

Possible descendants are looking very scarce....

In 1880 Hans Lenning (b. ca 1837 Norway) was in Story County, Iowa. By 1885 he was in Norway township of Humboldt County, Iowa which is very very close to the Wright County line and the little town of Eagle Grove.
Andrew Egeland is also in Norway township of Humboldt County for the 1885 Iowa state census and by 1910 he is listed 'Andrew Egland' with his wfie "Anna G. Egland" in Eagle Grove, Wright County -- both in their 40's and listed as having no children.

Norway township of Humboldt County had a very heavily Norwegian population. The biggest little town in the township was Thor and the Lutheran church still there has as yet not allowed film reproduction of their old church records.

Hi,

This is from the WPA Iowa headstone transcription project at Iowa www.usgenweb.com site:

Surname Given Name Born Died Cemetery Location County Comments
EGLAND Anna N. 1867 1926 Rosehill Eagle Grove Wright

Andrew is not in the database, perhaps dying later than the 1935-1940 era?

Also I can find an Anna Egeland but she married an Ed Monsen. Also her birth year is off by a few years. Perhaps you can check the data you have and see if it might match these people. Mr. Monsen is here called Benham but in the 1930 US Census he is called Edward.

Name: Anna R Monsen

Searching the 1900 census for a Thea Egeland turns up only one in Rogaland. Is this the Thea you are searching for. If so her birth year is quite close to Tina Bey but is not 1877..
