It has been a while since I was on the Digital Archive, but it seems more complex to find census and digitised parish register information. Is there a simpler method or procedure for access?

Hi.
I also thought that at first, but Digitalarkivet is much easer to search now. All you need is some practice link

When is an upgrade not an upgrade?
When you have less than you had before.

I, too, have had a slow go with the "new, improved" site and actually only go into it unless I have no other choice. One issue I have is when viewing the pages, that you have to "size up" every, single page, sometimes as many as 5 clicks to get to a readable size on my machine. Then you have to do that on the next page and the next page after that. That is exhausting unless someone has a work around so you can hold your size selection instead of having to do this, do you?

Another issue I have is that the new descriptions for the page don't appear on the page (unless you click and then get half your screen overtaken by the fields) and the things which get sent to your clipboard aren't quite as clear as before for the page and where as to small annexes to the parish the record actually appears.

The real estate pages are wholly impossibly long. Before you got a list with clickable links of all the names which allowed you to Cntrl F to find the farm name you wanted but now it's another page after page slog.

The value for the database purveyor of being able to update and revamp the information when it was lacking is a value that the average user does not get to experience. Sacrificing a quick and comfortable look for patrons for this little bit of value is really not nice.

My grade, so far Needs improvement.

Zoom problem can be stabilized. Looking at a digitized/scanned page - click on the far right button with the three little dots "...". Then click on the little gear appearing icon and choose to 'Remember zoom'.

I'm still struggling with many aspects of the new system myself. But that one little zoom fix made me feel much better. I do well reading and studying comprehensive instructions (or at least really really try) and I still haven't encountered them such that I can thoroughly follow the logic.
