HI CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP IN FINDING ANY INFORMATION ON JOHN RUTGERSON. HE WAS A SEA CAPTAIN IN NORWAY IN THE 1880/90'S. THAT IS ALL WE KNOW. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP IN ADVANCE..

Some dates, birth, marriage etc would be beneficial.

Johan Rutgersen married Berit Rasmusdatter May 20 1886, see #13.

He was born in Kløfvedal, Gøteborg, Sweden 1855 and was a fisherman when he married.

Johan Rutgerson married Thomesine Andrine Severine Jakobsdatter Dec 29 1876, see #47.

He was born in Sweden May 27 1854 and his father was Rutger Hansson.

Seaman Johan Rutgerson and Thomesine Andrine Severine Jakobsdatter had a daughter Johanne Thomasine Aug 26 1885, see #87.

thank you so much for your help. so quickly too.its my gt grandmas father. she was called agnes rutgerson and came over to england from norway when she was young. i have just obtained her marriage certificate,and it just says john rutgerson dad -sea captain. i shall have to try and get more info.

Your gt grandma Agnes was born Sept 21 1886 and baptized Agnes Regina Nov 26 1886, see #108.

Agnes and her parents in 1900.

Johan Rutgersson came to Ålesund 1869, the record is from 1876, see #181.
He was born in Kløfvedals Forsamling in Gøteborgs Län.

I believe he was a widower when he married Agnes mother - Berit Rasmusdatter, but I have not found the death record for his first wife.

The confirmation record for Bereth Rasmusdatter, Kylling reveals that she was born Aug 25 1858, see #15 - her parents were Rasmus Jakobsen and Anne Madsdatter.
The family in 1865.

Rasmus Jacobsen, Slette and Anne Madsdatter, Haakedal were married March 17 1841, see #1.

Johan Rutgerson and Thomesine Andrine Severine Jakobsdatter had a daughter Petra Laura Olufine Oct 18 1876, she was baptized two days after their marriage, see #216.

Rasmus Jacobsen was born May 28 1817, see 4th record on left page. His parents were Jacob Rasmusen, Slette and Kari Olsdatter.

Anne Madsdatter from Lom, Opland came to Grytten, Møre og Romsdal Febr 16 1837, see #68.
