We traveled to Norway in June/July 2011 and I want to thank everyone who helped us research the Halvor Rustad (Rusten) heritage. Through a contact, from a reply to this website we were successful in finding my husband's 1st and 2nd cousins once removed. They met us in Oslo and drove us to the church and gravesite of Even Arnesen Rusten. We met 1st cousins who could not speak english - but we had a grand time spending time with them. The younger generation (2nd and 3rd cousins) spoke english. We even made the front page of the local newspaper in Gjeason, Norway. A color picture and article of us and our new found relatives. What an enjoyable experience. I do want to inquire if anyone has information on these first cousins named: Olaf Rusten, Arnhild Berggren, Anna Johansen and Bergljot Damhaug. We weren't able to establish which of Halvor's sibblings they were related to. Hope we can establish the link to our family tree. Thanks everyone.

You exchanged addresses or other contact media? Why not contact them again and just ask? You say they have English speaking family members...

Since these people were born 1924 - 1935 finding which siblings they are related to is not easy.
Hopkins suggestion is the best way, if you need their addresses you can use Yellow pages.
When you get more than one person, Gjesåsen should be part of the address.
Also, you will not get a hit for Arnhild Berggren. Her full name is Arnhild Oddfrid Berggren.
