Anne Marie Tønnesdatter travelled from Norway to America in about 1885.
She was born in Klepp 12 March 1857 and her parents were Tønnes Omundsen and Rakel Abrahamsdatter. She lived in Washington and was married to Andrew Nelson who probably died in 1899. Several of her brothers also went to Washington.

She was called Mary Nelson in America and I wonder if she had any children. Can she be found in any of the censuses in Washington ?

Did your Anne Marie have a brother named Martin Thompson b 1869 who came to US in 1889 as well?

Hi,

Hopefully this Mary Nelson is the right one.

Here she is with 2 surviving children of 3 born in King County, Washington in 1910:

This is very likely the death record of the daughter Mabel since her address is only one house number different than where the family lived in 1910:

Hi,

This is the death record of Mary Nelson:

With parents' names given, this qualifies as the "smoking gun"

Thank you for all this.

Jackie : Yes, Anne Marie (Mary) had a brother, Martin b.1869, who also went to Washington. I have found a lot about him, but knew almost nothing about Anne Marie.
