I was going to post this on the Swedish Heritage Website but I couldnt find any...no surprise there.

I am looking for information on Rose Ellen Clampett...wife of Jed Clampett and mother to Elly May. She was the daughter of Daisy "granny' Moses and she was born and grew up somewhere in the Ozarks of Arkansas but I can not find her in any census information.....

I do know that Rose Ellen Clampett had died while Elly May was still very young, and her husband, Jed, raised her like a boy simply because he was ill-equipped to raise a little girl.

This family moved to Beverly Hills in the 1960's

Any information would be appreciated.

Hello Erik.
I have no info ab. Rose Ellen, but some info on Daisy "Granny" Moses, she told she was from Tennessee.
Jed Clampett and Daisy "Granny" Moses were the origin of The Beverly Hillbillies

These people have never existed. It's a comedy show based on stereotypes of Mountain people.

Yes.
The Characters was created by Paul Henning (1911-2005), who produced The Beverly Hillbillies (TV Series 1962–1971).
The sitcom was based on his past experiences while camping in the Ozarks near Branson, Missouri.
The Character "Elly May Clampett" is partially based on his own daughter Linda Kaye Henning.

This does not actually seem funny to me.

I just think that Erik Carsten is someone who should learn exactly how research is actually done for himself and only by himself. The above demonstration is more than obvious.
