Hello again
I really hope I have posted this in the correct forum ,I seem to have a habit of being in the wrong place, so please forgive me if I am . I have asked about a certain ancestor a few years ago, and had a lot of info ,which really helped. As I am now going to pick back up where I had left off, I wondered if I could ask about the norwegian surname johanneson. My ggrandfather from Wales Samuel Johnson (was johansen/johannesson etc, etc. I have just found somebody else with a family tree ,which includes the same samuel .It names his father as John Margison Johnson. wondered if this could throw any light on the ancestors before. Any possible names
spring to anyones m,ind ? (I COULD BE TOTALLY WRONG) but could his fathers sur name be margisson?????sorry if I sound stupid.

As far as I can see the baptismal record for your Samuel (Svend) Johnson (Johannesen) is #23 - his parents were Johannes Johannesen and Anna Svennungsdatter. The Samuel Johnson whose father was John Margison Johnson is hardly the one you seek ancestors for.

Svend Johannesens parents were married June 30 1853, see #12. his father Johannes Johannesen was then 34 years old and his mother Anna Svennungsdatter was 28. They were both living at the Qvam farm.

Anna Svennungsdatter was born Sept 24 1823, see #12. Her parents were Svennung Olsen and Sidselle Pedersdatter, Qvam.

Svennung Olsen was 13 years in 1801 - his parents were Ole Svennungsen and Gunnil Biørnsdatter.

Svennung Olsen and Sidselle Pedersdatter were married July 17 1820, see #10.

Sidselle Pedersdatter was 4 years in 1801 - her parents were Peder Svennungsen and Anna Rasmusdatter, Verwiig.

It looks like Svennung and Sidselle were cousins.

Svend's father, Johannes Johannessen was born 20 April 1830 on a subfarm of the larger/older Selvik farm in Høle, Rogaland, Norway. His parents were named Johannes Johannessen and Lisbet Halvarsdtr. At that time Høle was part of Strand, Rogaland and included in the church records for Strand.

Svends grandfather Johannes Johannesen was baptized Sept 27 1801 and was the son of Johannes Jacobsen Bartholomei and Helga Eliasdatter (who are in my family tree).
Johannes Jacobsen was the son of Jacob Peter Jacobsen Bartholomæi and Siri Johannesdatter.
