On line 27, I find the code "X-978" written across column no. 4 and 5. I also have problems interpreting colum 6 and 11 and 12 for the same person. From what I have learned, a "X" to the left of the passengers name would mean that the person was detaind. Does this mean the same, and will the "978" give the reason? I will be very grateful to anyone that can help me solve any of these problems.
I have tried there - without sucess. They explain other codes, but not this one.
I was aware that one have to be a subscriber to Ancestry to open the link I gave, but had a hope that somone might have that access. So far, I have not found a way to copy a picture into this forum - if there is, I will do that.
