There seams to be only one place (farm) in Norway called Pramhus in the 1900 census, and that is at Eidskog in Hedemark. I did not find your Mary living there at the time of the census, do you have any other names and info?

The information that I have found is that Mary was the daughter of Hans P. Prambus was born in 1816 and wife Martha in 1830, both born near kongswinger, Norway they came with their family to settle near Decorah, Iowa for a while, then they travled to the Dakota Territory in 1880. Both Hans P and His Mother??? died in 1897 and wife died in 1901(Martha) Children were Andrew and Mary ( Mrs.Hans Voll)
Ole and Hans H. Prambus

Please can you give me when they came across and any information
and I hope this can help any one eles.

There is a strong possibility that this is the family in the 1865-census:
Pramhuus søndre, Eidskog
Hans Peders. Husf Gaarbruger Selvejer g 50 m
Marthe Arnesd. hans Kone g 37
Andreas Hans. deres Søn ug
Maren Hansd. deres Datter ug 6
Hans Hans. deres Søn ug 4
Marthea Hansd. deres Datter ug 2

They were all born in Eidskog/Eidskovs Prgj.

If Hans P Pramhus is the same one that is listed in the BLM as homesteading in Griggs county North Dakota, you can probably find out what year they came to the US by finding them in the 1900 census. One of the columns in the census is the year of immigration. If you know the year it could make it easier to find them on one of the passenger lists. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ has the census image for 1900 North Dakota on line. If you know the township they lived in it would be easier to find them. the file 000read.txt lists the the numbers to look in. They could be listed as Pramhus or Peterson. Names often changed depending on who was taking the census.
