The first names between the 2 1910 listings are remarkably similar but the one from Sacred Heart Chippewa --excuse me-- is minus any of the girls names, curious. People sometimes get counted twice...

Halvor Torstensen and Olia Bergersdatter got a daughter Dorothea b. March 23. 1846 in Konglebĉk, see #81

Dorothea/Dortea married John Torstensen and lived on one of the Bagaasen farms, link

She had two dau. Hanna 5 and Tea 2. This family was cottagers but Dorotheas father Halvor was a farmer.
Halvor age 3 was their grandson and lived with them.

A shot in the dark?
Was Halvor Johannesen Dorotheas son, Johnsen/Johannesen, a wrongspelling??

Pauline Bagaas reports in 1900 that she has had 9 children and all 9 are living. In 1910 in both households she reports having born 14 children, 13 living.

Halvor's occupation is also of interest. In 1900 in Renville he is listed as "R.R. labor" and in the 1910 Chippewa as "foreman".

Another possibility for Halvor Johannesens mother is Thea Halvorsdatter;
Halvor Torstensen and Oliane Bergersdatters dau. Thea b. on Bagaasen August 4. 1841, see #123

Bit of a update...
While looking up Pauline bagaas I found most of the family buried in sacred heart,Mn.
It seems that even though my Grandfather Halvor Bagaas went by Bagaas the rest went by Bagaus.
When younger we went on vacations to sacred heart every couple of years in the 50's and I never met any family other then my Grandparents.

I believe I have found Halvor Johnson..
Halvor Johannesen on Bagaasen in Ċsnes age 3 in 1865 is the right person.
He lived with his grandparents; farmer Halvor Torstensen and Oliane Bergersdatter, click here

Halvors mother was Berthe Halvorsdatter.

Halvor Torstensen and Oliane Bergersdatter Bagaasen got a daughter Berthe Maria (Halvorsdatter) born in Hof (Ċsnes) Oct. 19. 1838 #178

The church books from 1847-66 do not exist online.

Googling Halvor Torstensen Baagaasen I came across this

By the way; Bagaasen present Bakċsen means "behind the hill/hillside"
