Source information: Oslo county, Paulus, Parish register (official) nr. 1 (1875-1878), Birth and baptism records 1875, page 4. Permanent pagelink: http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=5417&idx_id=5417&uid=ny&idx_side=-7 Permanent imagelink: http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:NBN:no-a1450-kb20060830040420.jpg

line #32 is the birth record for Fredrik Thorvald Fredriksen. If I am reading the last column right it looks like the family has been in this parish since 1860. No records seem to exist before 1875. What parish was Paulus before it became Paulus?

I am hoping to find his grandparents death records. They were living with the family in 1865 census but are gone by the 1875 census.
thankyou.

Far right column say they were married in 1860.

Paulus was established from part of Gamle Aker. No records available there either and Aker will be a possibility.

Parishes in Oslo (Christiania) is not a straight forward affair.

#324 Gurine Jensdatter - does this say she was a widow? Not too much information here :(

I am thinking #193 Fredrik Halvorsen is her husband - age looks right - anything else in this record that I am missing?

It says Enken (the widow) Gurine Jensdatter - cause of death "Debilitas" - weakened and enfeebled condition.
and g (gift - married) M (Mand - man) snedker (carpenter) Frederik Halvorsen - cause of death old age.
