I recently found Reier Olsen on the 1865 census by the following:
1. 1st name = reier
2. surname = olsen
3. vestfold
4. strømmen
and there he was 26 years of age. Now I would like to find his birth record. From the information given on the census record I don't know which county and such to go to. Can some one point me in the correct direction?

Census-1865

It says he is born in Hallingdal. Thus, possibly this one:
#140, Reier Olsen
Birth: 24 Oct 1840
Christening: 27 Dec 1840, Nes I Hallingdal, Buskerud, Norway
Parents: Ole Reiersen Aavistrudeie & Goer Olsdatter
Source: Buskerud county, Nes, Parish register (official) nr. 9 (1834-1863), Birth and baptism records 1840, page 114.
