I'm confused about Lukas Hansen born 1795, was he married to both Mette Margrethe Michelsdatter and Bergitte Paulsdatter and have children with both? You sent me info on the marriage of Lukas and Mette (although I had trouble making out Lukas' name) on Oct 15, 1824. On the 1865 census he's listed as Lukkas Hanssen married to Bergitte Pauldatter then on the 1875 census as Lukas Hansen and wife Bergitte.

Lukas Hansen was a widower when he married Bergitte Paulsdatter (Birgithe Poulsdatter) Dec 8 1848, see #26.

Thank you, now I'll be able to sort out which children go to which mother.
