I will be in Norway in July and am looking for relatives and a family farm: Ole Hansen Gjerddalen b.Nordre Land, Torpa, Oppland 8/25/1826 and Gunild Gurnold Flalegaord Gjerddalen b. 3/27/1829 (same). They were married 1853 in the Aamodt Kirke, Torpa. Great-great grandpa died in Norway but grandma emigrated to Wisconsin in 1877. Great grandpa and grandma: Ole Andreas Gardalen b. 1855 Torpa emmigrated 1873 and m. Martha Jackson. They moved to Dows (Popejoy) Iowa. I have the name of a family living in the farm house in 1977: Sigrid G. Gjerddalen, 2884 Torpa.

The farm looks to be abandoned. There is no-one registered with the street address used for the farm.

If you borrow a car with a GPS, you can use the below street address (or GPS coordinates) to drive directly to the farm::
Vestergardsvegen 585
Nord-Torpa

60.97900º N, 9.90090º E
60° 58' 44.4"N, 9° 54' 3.2"E
