Looking to find the farm or place where Sigvald Magnar Kvamsdal 1944 emigrated from somewhere around Bergen,any living relatives and any info of his emigration and where he ended up in the US will be greatly appreciated,thanks for any help

Kvamsdal is a farm in Masfjorden, Hordaland.

Might be the same person as Myrthel listed above. She is traveling with Martinus Kvamsdal age 28 born in Masfjorden, plumber, going to Wallingford Iowa.

A possible candidate form the 1910 Census for Martinus Kvamsdal. In the original ships manifest he has the middle initial of J as does this person in the census.

Same birth date as the Marintus J Kvamsdal listed in the 1910 Norwegian Census, the sister is listed as living in Forest City Iowa. The form mentions South Dakota from 1923 to 1937.

Could it be that Myrtle had been to the US in 1921, see Myrtel
Her parents in 1910.
Her father emigrated in 1914.

that is amazing,so when and where did Myrthle and Martinus Married,and was Martinus a fosterchild at another farm? and what was Myrtles Norwegian name? Is the farm Kvamsdal still existing and is the farm where Myrthle were born Kalhovde still existing? Thanks

Martinus J Kvamsdal, born 01.09.1902, is recorded as "pleiesøn" (fosterchild) in the 1910 census, see link above.

A farm Kvalhovda (Kvalhovde) may exist, see map.

Kvamsdalen (a place) in this map.

Myrtles mother, Anna Sørensdatter (Sørensen) was born March 28 1886, see #21, her parents were Søren Olsen and Marte Eriksdatter, Giil.
