Looking for some people who emigrated from Karmøy island Norway to the USA names are David Johan born 1858 Berta Marie Endresen 1852 Gjertrud Eline 1862 Inger Johanne 1864 Hans Andreas 1855 Teoline 1870. Endre 1871 lastname they used in America were Endresen or maybee Grødheim,thought to have emigrated to Iowa,thanks for any help

Here is an Endre Endresen, probably a return from a visit, since he lists his wife as Ragnhild Endresen living in Story, Iowa.

Yes that is the correct ones,they came from Skudenes on Karmøy these siblings,great finds so did Endre and Ragnhild have any children in Story city?

Berte Marie married a guy with last name Tau in Paulina Iowa sister Inger Johanne supposedly lived on a farm too,maybee in the same area?

Looks like Endre used both names. Here he lists himself as being from Stavanger and also lists his brother Hans Grødem of Stavanger.

Yeah it could very well be that Endre died in Norway,he went back and forth many times I was told,I will have to try that thanks.

Did Endre live in America and marry a a Ragnhild in Story city then? and then she died or divirced and he married Gardella Gabrielsdatter later??

You are right about Endre travelling back and forth a lot. Here is another of his voyages. He lists his final destination as Story Iowa, he is listed as a Resident in the column for Have you ever visited before, and he lists a friend Jan Nordskog in Story Iowa. However I have not been able to find him in the Iowa State Census or US Census.

Endre Endresen Grødem (1871-1965) em. to America 1891 and returned 1909.
Occ. in America; Farming in Iowa.

He married Gardella Gabrielsdatter (1883-1962) Nov. 3. 1910 and they both lived on Haaland Søndre (Southern Haaland) in Skudenes, Karmøy, as tenants, occ. farming in America.
Sems to me like he still owned a farm in Iowa, link
