The Skudenes Karmøy bygdebok doesn't give any hint that Ole Olsen (1878-1958) who married Olene Tobiasdtr and had at least 11 children (born between 1902 and 1928) at Sandhåland ever emigrated to the US or Canada. The book does list that his son Tobias probably went to America.

That seems correct, he was not on Sandhåland in the 1900 census, only the parents and 7 siblings.
Strange he em. Ole was heir to Sandhåland.

Well, you might be heir to the farm but you still had to pay reasonable price for it and the folks must be ready to give it up. So come to America for adventure and penger, until that time.
