You asked about Ellef's siblings, one of whom was named Ole. This might be he since both Ellef and he are living in Roseau county, Minnesota. This Ole's year of migration is given as 1865:

The only problem with the mother being Karen wilhelmsen. Is she was born in 1882, twenty years after her son Ellef was born.

Jkmarler. That is the correct Ole Olsen as I have that info incorporated into the tree currently. Ellef, Ole, Matt and Olaus (Olaves) all migrated to Canada to homestead after some time in the USA. But as I mentioned before I cannot find any Norwegian history on any of the family. I have found at least one document for most of the siblings living in the USA.

I wonder has anyone come across a search engine or site where you can list the siblings and search with that criteria? The possibities of finding the correct family would be better if I could enter all the children born in Norway, rather than guess at the hundreds of options per child.

No search as direct as that. At familysearch.org you may search for any and all children of a couple by putting in the parents' names and a country (or location) name for place of birth and their engine is likely to find.

Thank you very much for your help, I would have been ages to find that material, if ever! The information is very blurry and I cannot decipher the names, ages nor the column titles but I can see Karen. And Ellef. I will try to piece it all together from your previous posts

Most likely the family arriving in Quebec. All of the children are here however Ellef is spelled Eng. Since you have Ancestry.com you can look up the orginal manifest.
