Thanks for the good advice. I will start a new thread since these Wollums are not related. Good to know that there is a Vollum farm in Sør Trøndelag.

Vollum farms listed in the 1865 census for Sør-Trøndelag
Støren 2
Melhus 1
Børsen 3
Strinden 2

In that census Ole should be approx 7 years old - maybe even at one of
the Vollum farms.

Probably a blind shot, not from Sør-Trøndelag but Oppland county south of Trøndelag.
Two of three fit:
firstname and date of born, still miss a connection to Wollum, but I haven`t tried to find it out so fare.

Ole Olsen born Dec. 8. 1859, bap. Jan 15.
Parents; Ole Thoresen and Anne Knudsdatter on farm Simble in Ulnes subparish, Nord-Odal parish, Oppland county.

The family in 1865 with 5 sons and a daughter link
