All of my information on the birth, vaccination, or confirmation on the 3 sons of Henrika Hansdtr dated 1840-1849 were found in Hitteren Church records (church on the island of Hitra).

The Hitteren Church entries 1840-1849 refer to being born and/or living at Hagstad.

For years I have assumed this was a farm name for a place within the Hitteren Church area, but I have not been able to find its location. Any help would be appreciated.

In the 1865 census online there is no farm named Hagstad in Hitra. There was several Hægstad in Hevne and many Hegstad in Melhuus.

In 1801 there is one farm with the name spelled Hagstad:
Romsdal Stangvig Stangvig Hagstad 1564
