Just found the recorded family information:

Einar ( Harry) Kaspersen (Casper), was my Grandfather, who came from Norway in 1913 to the United States, along with his siblings: Gustav, Rolf, and Hans.

Their parents were: Father: Gulbran Kaspersen DOB: 1858, DOD: 1913
Mother: Ragna Gurtomsen Kasperson, DOB: 1862, DOD: 1927

Ragna Gurtomsen Kasperson's mother: Elisa Gurtomsen, DOB: 1835, DOD: 1919
( born in Oslo, Norway). She had 7 daughters.

I am trying to find any living relatives in Norway. Please let me know if you have information on living relatives in Norway to this family tree.

Thank you, Carol Davis. (csdavis81@bellsouth.net)

Thank you Jan. Would you happen to know if there are any descendants still in Norway in this family?

They arrived New York on Jun 18, 1913, on The C.F. Tietgen.
Final destination reads son Gustav Caspersen in Daville, Iowa.
Gulbrand mention his sister Julie Andersen in Ole Viks gd 18 as closest relative.

Gulbrand and Ragna and all their children emigrated?

Gulbrands sister Julie Andersen, widow, born 14 Sep 1860.
Daughter Anna Andersen born 02 Jul 1888.

I appreciate this information. Not sure if sister was included in the immigration of the family to the US. All I have is sketchy information through word of mouth testimony from my Uncle Norman Casper, my Mother's brother, who now lives in Homossassa, FL, just turned 91 on Saturday.

Sister Julie was not among the passengers on ship The C.F. Tietgen.in 1913. Only 4 Caspersen on board, Gulbrand, Ragna, Rolf and Hans. Gustav was already in Iowa.

Well, I suppose there are several options. either his sister had died prior to the immigration, or she did not leave Norway when the family did. Would be interesting to find out.

Julie is not dead by 1913. Gulbrand list his sister Julie in Oslo as "closest relative" in the 1913 emigration record (Ellis Island arrival). She is 53 y.o. and lives in Ole Vigs gd 18, same street as in census-1910 (see census above).

Census-1900
Gulbrand Kaspersen coachman 1857 in Bærum
Ragna Kaspersen 1862
Ingrid Kaspersen 1888
Rolf Kaspersen 1896
Hans Peter Kaspersen 06 Aug 1899

Yes.

"1900-telling for 0301 Kristiania" means 1900 census in Kristiania. Kristiania is an old name for Oslo.

Førenamn = fore name (the name that comes first)
Etternamn = after name (like a surname). Traditionally in Norway this was a patronymic name - based on the father's first name + son or + datter.
Sivilistand = marital status. G = married; U = unmarried; E = widowed
Yrke = occupation
Fødd år = what year born
Fødestad = place of birth

Carol, on the Ellis Island free website you can see the passenger manifest that shows Gulbrand, Ragna, and two sons arriving at Ellis Island in 1913. By viewing the original manifest, you can read all the details. Search exactly for Gulbrand Caspersen born 1859. (spelled just that way exactly). You'll have to register on that site, but it's free to do so.

You said Einar was with the family when they emigrated - did you notice he's not?

Did Einar, his siblings, and their descendants all remain in the USA? If so you are searching for:

1) descendants of the siblings of Gulbrand Kaspersen b 16 Jul 1857
2) descendants of the siblings of Ragna Gustava Gutormsen b 19 Sep 1862

In your opening query, you mention the name of Ragna's mother and say "they had seven daughters." These daughters are Ragna and her sisters? Do you know their names? Dates of birth?

MARRIAGE of Gulbrand Kasperson and Ragna Gutormsen
A groom Gulbrand Karpersen born about 1857 - Father's Name: Gulbrand Arnesen
married
A bride Ragna Gustava Gutormsen born about 1862 - Father's Name: Johannes Guttormsen
Event Date: 19 Feb 1882
Event Place: Oslo, Oslo, Norway
First marriage for both
