Also the link you provided goes to a different page. Copying the address in your browser window does not lead to a link to the page in question.
As you view the page in the blue bar at the top there are 3 choices to make regarding viewing the image, the size, where you want the documentary information to appear and if you want the Digitalarkivet logo on your image. When you chose having the documentary information to show (either at the top or the bottom) one of the pieces of information is the permanent page link (permenent side lenke) copying the address of the permanent page link will give you a functionaly address to the correct image.
Thanks, I was wondering how to do that. |

Ok going I little different route because I was going in circles and needed to go search some other people. So I decided I would search Ole Jukulen's wife. Her name is Regine Ovida Solberg on the census'. In my original post I put the emigration information of her family.
I found Regine's sister Kaja, #81 http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:NBN:no-a1450-kb20060911060301.jpg
Regine's Brother Anders, #68 http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:NBN:no-a1450-kb20060911060332.jpg
Regine's Birth, which has her name as Ovidia Regine, #40 http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:NBN:no-a1450-kb20060911060359.jpg
I am pretty confident that I got all of those correct (could be wrong I am a novice at this genealogy stuff), my question comes with her parent's marriage, http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:NBN:no-a1450-kb20060306021066.jpg . Is the mother/wife's name Rønnaug? What are the Farm names or birthplace? (??Nordraeden below names??? then next column I don't know first but second is lomb??)
I also gather from this that Hans' father is Anders Pedersen and Rønnaug's father is Ole Hansen but I can't tell what it says after that which I think is a farm name.
Thanks in advance, I am getting better at reading the letters. And thanks to everyone here, I am getting better and narrowing down which records are correct or not. |

The Brides name is written Ronnoug (=Rønnoug or Rønnaug). Her fathers name was Ole Hansen, Blekastad and she was born In Lomb (=Lom).
Hans Andersens father was Anders Pedersen and he was born on Fuglesangen (a farm in Frogn).
Both bride and groom was working on Nordrevalden farm when they married.

When you return to Vågå do not be confused. You will find out that that your Ole Larsen had 9 half siblings. His father Lars Christensen had 5 more children born out of wedloc after Ole was born 1828, Lars 6th child born out of wedloc was Peder b. july 17. 1837 with Mari Jacobsdatter Skjena-eie.
Lars Christensen and Mari Jacobsdatter Skjenna-eie married June 12. 1838 and they got 4 more children.
1865 census for Vågå shows Lars and Mari as tenent farmers on Blessum-eie.

Kåre,
How do you go about finding how many half siblings he has? Did you just scour the parish books or is there some index to this information I don't know how to use? I am amazed by how much information you find. I looked a little last night into this information and I will continue to do so today. I've been busy the last couple days and haven't gotten much done on genealogy but with the Thanksgiving holiday I have extra free time the next couple days.
