I´m looking for relatives of Emil Jakobsen (born 1885), Arnt Julius Jakobsen (born 1887), Hilda Marie jakobsen(born 1889) and Hans Jakobsen ( born 1891). They were from Lillestrøm in Norway. |

The relatives you are hoping to find would be in Norway? or US? or where? Did Emil and family emigrate? when? If they sailed from a Norwegian port the first clue of "new world" location may be in the record of that sailing.
Note for those of us in US who may not know without looking it up -- Lillestrøm, Skedsmo, Akershus

Lisbeth, I see you have posted on the earlier topic initiated by Susan Jacobsen. Have you also tried to send her an e-mail. You can do that by clicking on her Sjacob name in the left hand column of the posts and then clicking on the Click to send an E-Mail link. |

Yes, they would be in US. I found out a little bit about Emil, but can't find anything about Arnt Julius, Hilda Marie and Hans. I sendt sjacob a e-Mail, but I haven't heard from her. Emil came with boat from Liverpool,England and perhaps his siblings did too? His sister Anna and the parents lived in Lillestrøm,Norway.

Try this one: Click on this link, then click on Susan user name to find email address. http://genforum.genealogy.com/norway/messages/17029.html
If the forum undertakes a search for descendants, these siblings will first have to be identified in the USA and for that the forum will use a full birth date and parents' names (both will appear or should appear on a death record and/or possibly other records as well).
As posted in the other thread: Arnt Julius, born April 30 1887 Hilda Marie, born Sept 29 1889 Hans, born Nov 15 1891 Anna, born Oct 7 1894
Find a Grave memorial to Hans Jacobson (1891-1983) Burial Pines Cemetery, Spokane, Spokane, Washington, USA According to Find a Grave his SPOUSE was Alice Maud LeMaster (1886-1972) Alice's CHILDREN (might not be a complete list and accuracy not verified by me) * Gilbert Floyd Morgan (1904 - 1967) * Fay Jeanette Morgan Dewar (1907 - 1953) * Gail Harold Peaslee (1912 - 1980) http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=62007552
Find-a-Grave gives the date of birth for this Hans as Nov. 15, 1891.
This is the same Hans in 1940:
1940 US Census Spokane, Spokane, Washington Hans H Jacobson 49 born about 1891 in Norway, naturalized US citizen Alice M Jacobson 52 b abt 1888 Missouri Ralph E Jacobso 13 son b abt 1927 Idaho Ray H Jacobson 12 son b abt 1928 Idaho Nettie M Lemasters 74 widowed, lodger
Residence in 1935: Rural, Kootenai, Idaho (I see jkmarler just posted same) |

Thank you all for helping me! Anna stayed in Norway, and the parents did too. The parents is Jacob Jakobsen, born june 1, 1856 Karen Johnsen (Johnsdatter) july 20, 1856 They lived in Lillestrøm, Skedsmo, Akershus, Norway
I not that good in the english language, so it's possible I don't understand all the informasjon you gives me, sorry.
Is it likely that Hans thinks his bithday is the 5th and not the 15th? I can remember that my grandmother got a visit from Amerika, late 70's, and his name was Ralph. And in the link 1940 cencus I find a son Ralph.

Yes it's possible that there was an error recording the date as 5 instead of 15. He was a single man, unemployed and an "alien" meaning that he hadn't attempted to become a US citizen. Perhaps his English skills weren't the greatest either. |
