My great grandfather Ole Pedersen and his wife Olea Olsdatter emigrated from Norway on April 26, 1859 on the ship Brig Brodrene bound for Quebec. They were accompanied by their daughters Anne and Marie/Mary.
They did not arrive at their final destination of Dunn County, Wisconsin until 1863. I am trying to find out where they were in the Quebec province from 1859 to 1863. Were they settled in the eastern townships of Quebec, such as the area of the town of Bury, where there allegedly was a Norwegian settlement and then went on to the US, for unknown reasons, in 1863. They had two more children while they lived in Quebec province, Peder, who was born Sept 9, 1861, and Ole who was born in April, 1863. In 1860, the parents of my great grandfather, Peder Olsen and Anne Jonsdatter emigrated on May 20,1860 and Peder died on the ship on the way to Quebec and was buried in Quebec. He might have been where they lived in Quebec province. I am looking for any records from them having been in Quebec province.
