I am looking for the family of my great-great grandmother. She was the daughter of Johan Aune, but I don't know her mother's name.

She was born August 3, 1850 probably in the stordal area of Norway.

My main reason I want to find her family is to determine if she had siblings that had children.

I wish I could provide more info to help in this search, but I only have this much.

I should also mention that Berit was married to Torsten Lorntsen Julseth between 1879 and 1881.

Earlier discussion of Berit here:
http://www.norwayheritage.com/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2746&whichpage=1

Berit married in Norway, had a child there (Ludvig), lived in Nedre Stjørdal, and emigrated with her husband from Trondheim in 1881.
These facts were found earlier for you. Not sure why you don't include them Tim? Anywho....

EMIGRATION from Trondheim
1881
Ticket for the family was paid for in America
Torsten L. Julseth, skomager (shoemaker), age 30, bustad (residence) Nedre Størdalen, destination Brandon, [Douglas County], Minn
Beret Julseth, wife age 28
Ludvig Julseth, son, age 10 months

Back in an edit - I started this post and got drawn away - and now here are two responses. You guys are fast!

I didn't include that earlier thread because it focuses on the family after they were married. I am looking for Berit and her family when she was younger.

Is there an Aune farm in the Stjordal area? Would that probably be where Berit's family lived?

It looks like Beret's mother was named Johanna? Beret had a daughter named Ellen and Jonetta. Jonetta could be loosely based on Johanna.

I did not find a reference in the 1865 Norwegian Census for the family. I did find this Beret Johannesdatter born 1851. She is listed as a foster chid.

Date for marriage was July 4.

Aune and Aunet (quite a few in Nord-Trøndelag) are farm names.
