I cannot locate any 1801 census information for Aal on the internet. There don't seem to be any people who are added to the 1801 census from that parish. Does anyone know how I might be able to locate people who were alive in 1801 and lived in Aal?

Also, there is a note that Anne Knutsdatter was from Torpo. Is this Torpa in Oppland? Or is there a county named Torpo in Buskerud?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Yes Ål people are in the database of 1801.

Torpo is an annex to Ål, Torpin / Torpa is not.

Is Anne the person you want to find? There are at least 12 Anne Knutsdatters who are living at the time of the 1801 census in the index to Aal bygdesoge.

Hard to say whether your Anne Knudsdatter lives in Buskerud or Oppland or where without knowing more about the Anne you are asking about.
