I had looked for Kirsti's birth but didn't find it. Perhaps I can recognize now it because of the new information you have given me. I thought I had found her death but that record listed her age as 34, so I will take another look at that. I do think I found the right record for her marriage.

You are right when you said practice makes one better. I am finding so many more records on my own since last year and earlier. I still do have to ask someone to look at a record I think is correct but am not sure of.

Thanks!

It is more fun to look for records on your own.
Svend Olsen born on farm Ristvedt 1704, parents was Ole Svendsen Ristvedt b. ca 1662 d. 1746 and Ellen Kittilsdatter Berg 1666-1730.

When Svend bought Komnes 1750 he was afraid of that the owners of Komnes in ca 300 years, the rich and mighty Skjerven family would require inheritanse on the farm, but they did not.
The Skjerven family from Lardal parish in Vestfold county owned lots of farms in the counties; Vestfold, Buskerud and Telemark and were descendants after Olav Olsen Skjerven ca 1480-1555.
The buildings were in bad condition so Svend had the farm assessed before he fixed up the houses and in 1764 Komnes was valued to 3057 RiksDaler, a very large sum of money.

Peder Knoph and Kay Brandt sued Svend 1762, they wanted the farm, but Svend stayed on Komnes, it was probably to expencive to redeem for the plaintiffs.

It is a small world.
Aase Olsdatter Hvam d. after 1683 and mentioned above, her g.g.g. grandparents was Rolf Torstensen Hvam ca. 1495-1670 and Karen Olsdatter Skjerven ca 1511-1590, daughter to the rich and mighty Olav Olavsen Skjerven ca 1480-1555 and Helga Mathiasdatter Tufte.
