Appears as if Helge Jensen Svodal ie Helge Dahl eimmigrated about ten years begore his future wife. They seemed to have married almost immediately upon her arrival, making me think the families must have been aquainted in Norway. She was only 17 when she emmigrated.

Thanks Jane, I was in serious danger of repeating all of the previous work. Some of it my own, which is dreadful to contemplate.

Perhaps Andreas went to America in 1897 and returned fairly quickly. At least early enough to be included in the 1900 Norwegian Census. If so and that person is the Andreas shown directly above it is also likely that he died in Norway. Here is a listing of a likely candidate.

Web: Norway Burial Index, DIS-Norge, 1700-2010
Name: Andreas Svoldal
Gender: male
Death Date: 5 Feb 1966
Burial Date: 12 Feb 1966
Burial Place: Kvinnherad, Hordaland, Norway
Age: 87
Birth Date: 16 Nov 1878
