When more than one farm had the same name, they were distinguished by vestre (Western), østre (Eastern), etc. The V stands for western.

Hi Einar,
It's so difficult to find people, except when you get a lucky run. I keep checking the slekt.elsrud.com , because sometimes it was down and then came back for a short time. I don't know, it was a great database, and I gathered as much as I could while it was open. Thank you for your continued help. I appreciate everything you have done. |

I can't read it well enough to see those names. Is there a date recorded? What does the entry actually say? I've seen another posting on family,heritage.com that calls her Live Isachsdr. There is also another childe named Asle Clemmentsen, who is listed as a son of Clemmet Olsvigen christened on 02 Jul 1741 in NORDERHOV, BUSKERUD, NORWAY. |

- I would like to correct my misreading of the mothers name, it says Liwe (Live). You'l find the date in the column to the left - it says 20 Aug. - both baptisms on this date were in Wiger (Viger) church.
The baptismal record for Asle is the 4th record on right page. The father is also here Clemet Olswigen.
In the baptismal record for their daughter Elie on Febr 1 1738, 3rd record on right page, we find the parents given as Clemet Haraldsen, Olsvigen and Live Isachsdatter. |

Live Isachsdatter could be the one baptized Sept 30 1708, 6th record on left page. Her parents were Isach Nøkleby and Barbro.

Okay I see Clemmet Olsvigen and Live on the bottom right, I also didn't know they had a daughter. Thank you Einar <3

Perhaps it's just a general view of farm life on a farm in Aadal? |
