| So siver olson and emerensa olson are possibly johns parents? Im very new to genealogy and am trying to follow. I can't believe the outpouring of help and greatly appreciate all of the assistance! |

All possibilities are on the table. We are exploring what sort of connections there might be due to the historical tale.

Way cool, two Johannes' in the family--the other John Severson who married Betsy Neshiem is on the next census page after John b. 1849 in the 1900 census. No Fred in his family
