Hello,
Could someone please tell me the following:
1. Did I translate the record correctly below?
2. In which parish on the digitized record site for the Norway Archives should I look for:
a) emigration of Anna from Eide Sogn to America?
b) possible marriage to Tonnes Berg? I'm not sure if Anna married Tonnes in Norway or in South Dakota abt. 1886-88.

I have been tracing her family in Konsmo, Vest Adger, Nord Audendal parish (father was Aanon Osufsen, mother was Ragnild Gunnarsdr.), and they and several siblings went from there to America; but Anna somehow went to Eide Sogn in 1877 if I am reading the record correctly. Thank you!

1883
Entry 11
Anna Aaonsdatter left Konsmo parish left Konsmo parish for Eide parish in 1877.
Source information: Vest-Agder county, Konsmo in Nord-Audnedal, Parish register (official) nr. A 3 (1882-1900), Emigration records 1882-1886, page 129.
Permanent pagelink: http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=3432&idx_id=3432&uid=ny&idx_side=-100
Permanent imagelink: http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:NBN:no-a1450-kb20060510030449.jpg

My translation:
Entry 11
1877 - year she left the parish of Konsmo for Eide Sogn (parish).
Col. 5. Born in 1861
Col. 6 . 9 May 1861, born; 26 May 1861 baptized, confirmed 10 Oct 1876, [can’t translate words Oct 22 1876], can’t translate last phrase but it appears to be some boiler plate wording.

I'm also not sure why column 1 refers to 1877 and column 6 includes 25/10 83. Is that when the record was updated on her? Thanks!

Translation correct
additional
- can’t translate words Oct 22 1876 - she had communion on that date.
- can’t translate last phrase but it appears to be some boiler plate wording - she had no intention of getting married.

She obviously had left for Eide parish in 1877 but this was not recorded until 1883.
Eide parish is in Sogn og Fjordane, she might have left from there.

Thank you so much! Can you tell me please how I can find "Eide Sogn" church records on the Digital Archives of Norway website so I can see when she emigrated to America, or perhaps find a marriage record for her to Tonnes Berg? Thanks again!

Thank you. I tried that and some other Eide parishes too, but haven't had much luck. Sometimes folks are hard to find. Thanks again!

Here is a long shot, in that the year of emmigration seems to be earlier than you have indicated. But three Hellle including Anne A leaving from Kristiansand ie Vest-Agder and a Ansten Berg next to them. All going to Yankton, Dakota. Age is a little off as well.

If you are already aware of this, please excuse, but on the right hand page of your original link, #6 under 1886 might also be a sibling to Anne leaving for America, Siri Aanonsdatter Helle.

Thank you! I think you are correct. Although the birth years are a bit off, their originating parish is correct and their destination.

Thank you again. With your help I believe they went from Kristiansand to Gotteborg. Then, I found them on the emigrant passenger list form Goteborg to New York on the ship, Martha. I also found them on a New York arrival list on the ship Martha.I appreciate your help very much.

Yes, thanks to you, I found the three of them (Anna A. Hille, Ole A Hill, and Gunder A. Hill )on: Emigranten Popular, Swedish Emigration Records, 1783-1951 and then on the New York Passenger Lists, 1820-1957, both records on Ancestry.com. Even though the ages are off, I am assuming that their middle initial stands for “Aanonsen” or “Aanonsdatter,” which would be correct. The destination jives with other records and the out migration records. Thanks again for your assistance!
