I've already looked at the ELCA baptism/confirmation database at archives.com and found no Frank Haraldson / Haroldson nor Frank / Francis Oscar Olson nor Frank / Francis Offerdal / Offerdahl. I haven't tried Frank Knutson yet. Done now but no result. Which doesn't mean there isn't a baptismal record for him just that it doesn't really result in the search engine of the database.

The Haroldsons lived in Brandrup township of Wilkin county Minnesota and appear in the census records there from at least 1895-1940. In the 1900 census Gena says she is married for 11 years, has born 4 children and 4 children are living (even though there are 6 children in the household.) In either the 1910 or 1920 census Gena's count is 6 children born / 6 children living.

It appears likely that George Haroldson was probably named Gunder and was likely the son of Thor and Thorbjor Haroldson who live near George and his family in Brandrup. George's first wife died and the child Harry Haroldson is likely the son of George / Gunder and his first wife.

There are Haroldson memorials in Wilkin county at findagrave. Here is Gina's, there are also Albert, Gunder, Thomas & Grandfather Haraldson and Harold Haraldson all in the Stiklestad cemetery at Doran:

I notice that Frank has listed or had listed for him, his brthplace as both Minnesota and North Dakota.

1900 and 1910 and 1920 US Census birthplace is Minnesota and 1905 Minnesota State Census.

1930 and 1940 US Census birthplace is North Dakota

I guess my question to poster is where did the information about Frank's father being Knute Offerdal come from? Was it on his death certificate?

The original poster has asked if someone could translate the baptism record and confirmation record for Anna. It woud be better if someone with better Norwegian skills than I have would undertake that task. Here are the links.

In the old style emmigration records you can see other passenger who just might be travelling with the person of interest. In this case it may be that Anne is travelling with Inga Larsdatter Aarebo age 23 also from Aadal.

There's no obituary of Knute Offerdal in the Rowberg Biographical File.

There appears to have been years of working to find the father of Frank Haraldson -- with various spellings and national origins.

In that last thread listed above there were two Ivar/Iver 'Offerdal' men easy to get a bit confused -
1. Ivar Ivarsen Offerdal -- b. 30 Mar 1856 Årdal (Lærdal) S&F parents Iver Olsen (1814- ) & Kristen Anfinsdtr
2. Ivar Ivarsen Offerdal -- b. 15 Apr 1841 Årdal (Lærdal) S&F parents Iver Endresen (1785- ) & Gjøran Christensdtr

The subject of the thread on this website, Knudt Iverson Offerdal, born 2 Aug 1852, was the older brother of the young man listed as 1. above but the poster said he left Norway traveling with 2. above. I was not able to find a ship's list to confirm that.
