Since I have not been able to find Andreas in Norway in 1865, there is the possibility he was gone by then. I do favor the "posing" theory, since everything I've found so far fits in with it and makes sense to me. The latest I can place him in Norway was at a nephew's baptism in 1863, and that is not totally definite since I need to assume "Andreas Skartlien" referred to him. That is my Oline leaving N.Land in 1869. Thank you, jkmarler.
