Eli Olsdatter, Stenerud (under Skjørberg) was most likely the one born Dec 20 1814, #1.

Her parents were Ole Isaaksen and Marthe Jonsdatter, Stenerud under Skjørberg.

(The marriage record says her father was Ole Olsen - which most likely must be wrong. Witnesses at the baptism of the twins of Eli Olsdatter, Stenerud under Skjørberg and Lars Jensen, Billingsrøe were Ole Skjørberg and wife. Ole Skjørberg was Ole Isaaksen in the 1801 census.)

Thank you. I am in touch with the stearnHeinrich site, I am trying to go farther back in the ancestors. Also, my great grand father, Hans Haakenson, Nittedale 1934, was married twice in Norway. His second wife was Mathia. I am assuming his first wife died rather than divorced. I think they had 4 children to gather and since we have the same blood line from Hans. I would like to get information on them as well as the first wife's name.

Everyday there are greater challenges to the mystery of the family tree.

I am in tough with the organizer of the StearnHeinrich. I am trying to go back in time and also include information on Hons' first wife. I believe her name was Johanna Margareta Abrahamsdotter. Born around 1823 and Died around 1900 in Minnesota, u.s.a.

Hans Haagensens first wife was Maren Henrikke Hansdatter. They were married Sept 17 1871, #68.

Maren Henrikke died of cancer Jan 6 1874, (church record name her Maren Henriette Haagensen, née Hansen) #6 on right page.

Maren Henrikke was born in Eidsvold 1843, parish records for Eidsvold were lost in a fire in 1877. Further info is therefore very difficult to find.

In regards to Johanna Margreta Abrahamsdatter, I found this in the, " Doan Family Tree". It lists all of Hans Haakenson's siblings as in my family tree. If we are talking about the same Hans Haakenson, there may have been another wife before Maren and Mathia.

Hans and Johanna's children were born between 1849 and 1866. I see that the four children were all daughters and depending on whether or not it was important to Hans to have a son to carry on his name, well, sadly enough, I believe it would be possible he became desperate enough to seek a new wife who would give him a son.

I don't have any idea whether or not divorce was in anyway common in those days but something may have separated them other than death. This would be leaving a time period for Hans to remarry and take Meren Henrikke as his wife1871.

Since he lost Maren in 1874, his marriage to Mathia would fall in place with the 1885 marriage year. I know this may be a stretch but that could all fall in place within this timeline.

Your Hans Haakensen was born in Skedsmo, Akershus 20 Oct 1837 - parents Haagen Evensen and Maren Haagensdtr. He emigrated to the USA in 1903.

The Doan Family Tree on Ancestry.com lists a Hans Haakenson and claims Hans to be born 1828 in Vestre Toten, Aas, Norway and died 1900 in Granite Falls, Chippewa, Minnesota, USA. The tree lists wife Johanna Margareta Abrahamsdotter as born 1823 in Nordmaling, Vasterbotten, Sweden (which she wasn't) and died 1900 in Fish Lake, Chisago, Minnesota, USA. There are no sources listed.

The 1865 Norway census for the Haakenson family of the Doan Family Tree can be found
here

An abbreviated version of the Doan Family Tree here:
http://records.ancestry.com/hans_haakenson_records.ashx?pid=94166712

The similarity in names in many different family histories can get kind of confusing.

What are your sources for those assertions? Likely a different Johanna; the 1865 census I posted gives that Johanna a birthplace of Hurdalen, Norway. But in any case Johanna is not part of the life story of YOUR Hans Haakensen. It's two guys with the same name, a coincidence. Einar (eibache) has made huge progress on original, correct research in the primary source documents of Norway - in other words, it is a gift of a valid genealogy for your Hans. Nice!
