Farms of Syre and Vik are located on the southern part of the island of Karmøy -- that probably indicates the parishes known as Skudenes or Falnes.

So a birthday of 10 Sept 1871 takes you directly to the birth record in Skudenes parish records -

Born on the farm of Risdal. (Øvre Risdal is where his parents were residing then.) The family lived on Håland Søndre farm (Sørhåland) for a longer period of time and you will find them listed in the information for that farm.

(see in the link titled County Books)

The city port of Stavanger would have been the closest and most convenient departure point. You should check the emigrants database for Stavanger at the Digitalarkivet website and check to see the occupation and intended destination of Peder. It is POSSIBLE it might give you just a few more details that are NOT listed in the 1910 Norwegian census enumeration.

Could be this one. Left Stavanger 25.03.1910, headed for Washington.

Most likely the arrival of your Peder Pedersen. He is listed as goiing to Bellingham ie Washington state. Also most likely the same person as found by Jan Peter above since the person above him is Johan Hovland and below him is Nils Hamre. Same people as listed above and below him in the older version of emmigration records.

Peder Pedersen in the Massachusetts, Passenger and Crew Lists, 1820-1963
Name: Peder Pedersen
Gender: Male
Ethnic Background: Norwegian
Estimated birth year: abt 1872
Birth Place: Karmoen, Norway
Age: 38
Port of Departure: Liverpool, England
Ship Name: Ivernia
Arrival Date: 7 Apr 1910
Port of Arrival: Boston, Massachusetts
Friend's Name: Olans Samuelson

Link to the older emigration records.

The 1910 US Census was taken in Bellingham, Washington on April 15 that year. so he may not have been included in that particular census.

A possible match for the family from which Hanna Aseline and Olans come from.
