I am the grandaughter of Trgyve and Louise Goberg who came to Canada in either 1919 or 1920 They were married in Skien Dec 6th 1919. My Mother (Edle Lillian) was born in Throne Alberta Canada November 19th 1920 I know My Grandfather had relatives still back in Norway as my parents Don and Lillian Prudden received letters from them. My parents are now deceased and my husband and I are coming to Norway this summer so it would be wonderful if there was a possibility in finding some relatives.. My Mother never got the chance to go to Norway so I am very excited to see the church in Skien where my Grandparents were married. Hoping someone can help me out.

Trygve birth date above given as 10 January 1888. Lovise born 02.09.1891.

Marriage record for Trygve and Lovise Vilhelmine July 6 at 4:30 pm is #36.

Trygves confirmation record (no number) says he was baptized Sept 28 1902 (note says that was the same time as his wife) link.
Parents Peder Pedersen, Goberg and Kristine Hansen.


Lovise Vilhelmines confirmation record is #31. She was baptized Aug 28 1892. #88.
Her parents were Ole Gundersen and Karoline Schätger. (The mother belonged to the methodist church).

For the record, marriage record posted gives Trygve father as Peder Pedersen Goberg.

Goberg is a name from an area in Skien, Telemark.
A search reveals the following:
Telemark (15 persons)
Buskerud (3 persons)
Oslo (2 persons)

To find living persons that could be relatives, this is a possible place to get adresses link.
