LOOKING FOR: ARE THEY SCANDINAVIAN? HELP ANYONE?
Antan Ludvik Thoreson, Ship Master Married: Armunda Maria Thoreson, maiden surname Hansen.
A little information I have:
Reference 170, Year 1918, District Aboyne, Entry 5 Date/Place 4th October 1918, The Huntly Arms Hotel, Aboyne, after banns according to the forms of the Established Church of Scotland Groom Alexr. D.K. Wright, Policeman, Bachelor Groom's Age 28 Groom's Address 37 Kelly Street, Greenock Groom's Father Peter Wright, Labourer, deceased Groom's Mother Annie Wright, maiden surname Morrice, now Brown Bride Asta Ludovica Thoreson, Lady's Help, Spinster Bride's Age 28 Bride's Address Bogiefern, Birse (unclear) Bride's Father Antan Ludvik Thoreson, Ship Master Bride's Mother Armunda Maria Thoreson, maiden surname Hansen Witnesses George M. Brown, Maria Morrice Registered 4th October 1918
This shows that Alexander was 28 in 1918, so was born in about 1890 and his parents were Peter Wright and Annie Morrice. Asta was also 28 and her parents were Antan Ludvik Thoreson and Armunda Maria Hansen. I briefly checked the 1911 census for Asta but there was no sign of her in that. I assume her family came from Scandinavia. Alexander was born in 1891 in Birse:-
Reference 175, Year 1891, District Birse, Entry 2 Name/Sex Alexander Dalziel Keith Wright, Male Date/Place 6th January 1891, 4:45am, Roadside Cottage, Birse Father Peter Wright, Farm Labourer Mother Ann Wright, maiden surname Morrice
Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated :)
