I am looking for a death/burial record for uncle Iver's father Iver Knudsen, born 1850 at Hjortaas, Meland, Hordaland. In 1900 he is recorded in the census as residing in Bergen with wife Juliana and children, occupation fiskehandler. In the 1910 census Juliana Knudsen has a status of "e"…I presume enke…widow.
I did a person search for Iver Knudsen in Digitalarkivet: no records after the 1900 census. I looked thru scanned parish registers of all Bergen churches in the Digialarkivet, 1901 thru 1910…did not find his death recorded.
Are there other records I should search? Seems like I should have found him.

He seems to have "vanished" between 1900 and 1910.
Add some info, perhaps someone out there has the answere.

His wife was a widow 1910.

Occ Fishmonger in 1900.

In Bergen 1891 his occ. was Smith, he probably settled down in Bergen ca. 1890.
Both his wife and children were born in Nordland County, in the two towns Brønnøysund and Bodø, so he probably married Julianne Olette in Bodø.

And here Iver is in Skudeviken in Bergen 1906

His wife is not mentioned, it appears he lived for himself.

Limited voting rights for women came first in parliamentary elections in 1907!
No indication that he lived for himself then.

The 1900 census that was mentioned, here:
http://digitalarkivet.arkivverket.no/en-gb/ft/person/pf01037335057078

Here's Iver in 1865 - is that right?
http://digitalarkivet.arkivverket.no/ft/bosted_land/bf01038244000699

And his parents' marriage, if it helps - a long shot:

Einar, how does one interpret that Julianne is with Iver on the 1904 list but not in 1906?

Thanks to all who have responded.
[1] In response to the question from Jane C: yes I believe you have found Iver Knudsen in the 1865 census. A farm boy at Hjortaas on the island Holsnoy; then a fisherman…fathered my uncle Iver but did not marry the mother; married a woman from Nordland who had her own "illegitimate" son; lived in Bodo, where 2 more children were born; moved to Bergen with wife and children, around 1890. Died before the 1910 census.
[2] As Einar points out, it appears only men were registered in 1906 as voters for the national election. The 1904 voter register for local Bergen elections includes both men and women.

I have not been able to find a record of death of Iver Knudsen in Bergen 1901-1910; but I was quite interested to review the Dodsfallprotokoll scanned material. jkmarler can you advise me how you got to those records…I successfully used your link, but I have not been able to find my way to them on my own thru the Digitalarkivet.

The best "portal" to the probates is through the old classic page:
http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/WebFront.exe?slag=vis&tekst=meldingar&spraak=e

I've already searched through March 1907 in Bergen but havenot found.

Just to close out this topic: In a 2nd search thru the Dodfallprotokoll for Bergen, I found an entry for death of fiskehandler Ivar Knudsen on 3 November 1908. Description of heirs indicates this is uncle Iver's father.
His death is also recorded in the parish register for Stiftelspresten, tho his last name is entered incorrectly. Cause of death: appendicitis.
